Question : LanManserver service on server 2008 sp2 stuck in stopping state

Yesterday, I was addressing an issue where the iSCSI targets were not reconnecting upon server restart and I believe I may have caused a bigger issue.  The iSCSI target is where the network shares are located.

Today, upon restarting the server the "server service" or lanmanserver service is stuck in a stopping state.

Here is what I did yesterday:
I followed this MS article on how to make the Server service dependent on the iSCSI Initiator service.  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/870964

Here is what I did today:
I located the registry key that was created when i made the changes yesterday and removed the value.  (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanManServer) I have rebooted the server and now the server service is in a stopped state.  When I try to start it I receive an error, "Error 2: The System cannot find the file specified."

Ideas?

Answer : LanManserver service on server 2008 sp2 stuck in stopping state

I resolved my own issue.  I compared the registry values of a 2008 server at a different location.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanManServer

I adjusted the registry of the server having issues to mirror the other 2008 server and restarted.  All is working.
