Question : My Dell laptop battery light flashes yellow

I have a Dell latitude 100L laptop (6 years old).
Recently, its battery light has started to flash four times yellow followed by once green. Whether it is on battery or mains power. Also this occurs whether the laptop is live, screen saver of hibernating. I have noticed no other effects.
What does this pattern of lights mean?

Do as suggested by the earlier two posts.
If you are using the same battery for six years, the battery has worn out. It will need a replacement. Normal battery life is a little over 24 months.
