Question : Dell PERC H200 in a PowerEdge R210 - Where do the cables go?
Hello,
This is probably a really simple question for someone famliar with the PowerEdge R210 and the PERC H200 adapter.
I purchased a new H200 and it came with two cables. Each cable is labeled "controller" on one side and "backplane" on the other. It's obvious where the controller side plugs in, but for the life of me I can't find anyplace to plug in the other side. The server currently has a SATA drive in it connected to the onboard controller. I'm planning to replace that drive with a couple of SAS drives RAID 1.
Maybe I'm missing a backplane component or something. Any guidance would be appreciated.

There is not a back plane on the R210. Each drive is cabled directly to the controller, whether that be on-board or to the H200. You will need to get the correct cable(s) for direct-to-drive attachment.
