Question : Do Access Forms sometimes "Time-out" on opening if the underlying query is too complex?
I am developing an Access 2007 "project" (.adp) based on a SQL Server 2005 Express database.
I have an Access Form that is based on a "View" in the SQL Server database.
Although not producing many fields, the "View" does call on some other "Views" and does some grouping, counting and summing.
Without the "summed" fields in the View, the Access Form opens and fills quite quickly, but when I add these fields to the View and the Access Form, the Form fails to open. (I don't get any error messages, but the cursor changes to the "egg-timer" for about 30 seconds.) When the cursor returns to normal, Access continues to work, but without the called Form having been displayed.
Using SQL Server Management studio, the "View" displays all its lines OK, but it does take about 30 seconds to do so when it includes the "Summed" fields I want.
Does Access time-out the opening of a Form if the Form's underlying data source takes too long to be established? Is there a setting that controls this time-out value?
Many thanks. Colin.

No, you will not be able to move the DNS zone or records over to the new SBS server.
DHCP move.
