Question : Backup Exec 2010 using external USB drives after changing they go offline

we have a windows 2008 server running BE 2010. We have 5x500GB external USB drives. In the morning we change the USB drive. Windows sees the drive without issues but BE thinks the drive is offline and won't use it. I have to go in manually and set the drive back online.

there must be a way around this?

I found creating a shared folder on the drive, then backing up to that folder seemed to do the trick.  The folder will have to be created on both drives and initialized in backup exec.  

For example: \\192.168.1.1\backup  (<-- backup folder for both drives)
