Question : When trying to install Windows XP SP3, I get access denied error.
I have tried every solution I can find. I have logged in as a local and Network Admin, Disabled Anti-virus, tried installing from windows updates and from a dowloaded file. I have also tried Subinacl.exe with the reset.cmd. A while back we set out computers to not allow SP3 to install by using a cmd that added a registry key. I have deleted that key and I am still unsuccessful at installing SP3. I have tried multilpe computers and get the same result. Are there any other Solutions out there?
Answer : When trying to install Windows XP SP3, I get access denied error.
If the PC is part of a domain, remove it.
Reset registry permissions.
Try again.
