Question : Wordpress plugin TinyMCE Advanced not working and I'm getting 404 Reports from wp-includes tinymce files

Hello

I'm using Wordpress version: 3.0

Not sure what or where the problem is, but I am unable to get the Wordpress plugin TinyMCE Advanced working, and I'm getting 404 Reports for the following files:
wp-includes/js/tinymce/themes/simple/editor_template.js?ver=327-1235
wp-includes/js/tinymce/langs/en.js?ver=327-1235

I don't have a folder "simple" in my themes folder and there isn't a en.js file in my langs folder.  I double checked my original 3.0 download and those files are not there either.

I do have TinyMCE Advanced plugin working on a site using WP 2.9 without incident, and the plugin page says that it's working with 3.0.
What I have tried: deactivating all my plugins, unistalling and reinstalling the plugin. Changing the theme back to the Twenty Ten theme that comes with wordpress.

I'm at a loss, anybody out there got any ideas?

Jules

Answer : Wordpress plugin TinyMCE Advanced not working and I'm getting 404 Reports from wp-includes tinymce files

THE PLUG-IN SHOULD NOT BE INSIDE OF WP-INCLUDES, IT SHOULD BE INSIDE WP-CONTENT/PLUG-INS

Uninstall the plug-in, if you use a ftp to upload your files, open it up and make sure everything was deleted. Go to add plug-ins. Instead of doing the auto install, choose download. Unzip the file on your computer and put it in wp-content/plugins folder. *** When you unzip the tinymce make sure you open the folder once unzipped. Sometimes it will have a folder level like this:
tinymce.exe (original download)
unzipped example: tinymce, tinymce
The tinymce folder sometimes is two levels deep select the last folder named tinymce and upload this one. I don't know why some plug-ins are like this, but if you they are and you don't follow the steps when you upload it to you ftp site it won't show up as a plug-in.

Go to your plug-ins in the Administrator panel then activate the plug-in. That should do it
