Question : Remove Private Calendar Invitation in Outlook 2003

I created a Private Calendar Invitation in Outlook 2003, and now I cannot remove it.  I have asked our local IT department what may be going on, but they have no idea.  At this time I cannot even right click on the Item to get options to remove it.
