Question : Internet Explorer Content Advisor with Group Policy
Hello,
I'm trying to restrict access to websites for a specific user that logs into a PC. However, I want all other users logging into that PC to not be restricted. I know the IDEAL way of doing something like this is with a firewall or other device restriction, however with that not being possible in this case, I opted for Group Policy. I setup an OU, put the user object in there and configured the GPO. Everything works great for the restricted user. I log into the computer, content advisor blocks every site except for the sites I allowed. However, if a NON-restricted user logs in, they too get the content advisor restriction. Even though the user account is in a totally different OU that doesn't fall under the GPO I created.
I always though that being a user specific policy, it would prohibit ALL users from being effected. Am I doing something wrong or is Content Advisor one of those exceptions to the rule?
