Question : vmware esxi with server 2008 r2 guest - resize screen

I can't resize the screen in VMRC on an esxi 4.0 host.  I also upgraded the host to 4.1.0 and reinstalled the vmware tools on the guest - still stuck in 800x600 in VMRC.

Guest is Server 2008 R2 64-bit

Any trick to changing screen rez?

Solved it myself.

The video driver installed was the standard VGA.  I had installed VMware Tools, but that did not change the video driver.

I had to manually update the driver and point the driver installation to c:\program files\common\vmware\drivers\wddm_video

That found and installed a driver.  After rebooting, I can resize the VMRC screen as expected.
