Question : cisco 2900xl unable to ping out or into switch

I am currently consoled into the switch, and my internet access allowing me to post this question is going thru this switch as i'm plugged into an interface as well.

I cannot ping the switch from command, nor can I ping anything that is known good and up from console of switch.

any clue as to why?
