Question : sbs 2003 moving mailbox to sbs 2008 very slow

I am in the process of migrating mailbox from SBS 2003 to SBS 2008, the mailbox move is very slow, or I am not even sure it's working.

when I do a single mailbox that is 1.5 GB it move right away.

when I try to move a batch of small mailbox that is like 200kb each it is now about 20 minutes now but the  process still not moving. I have trying to move them one by one still no go.

Is this normal, should I wait for it or did I do something wrong.

This is sadly, perfectly normal.

I picked up all 15 of the mailboxes and requested they were moved on a recent SBS 03 to SBS 08 migration and nothing happened for about 45 minutes, then bingo, it woke up and got on with it.

As frustrating as it is, is is doing what it needs to do and it will take as long as it takes.
