Question : can connect iphone added to Exchange 2003

I have a new iphone that i want to syc with my Exchange 2003 sp2 server.  I have set it up with another exchange server and it worked OK so i know it is not an issue with the iphone.

I already use OWA form the outside and it works great.
I have enabled Mobile Devices on the exchange server
SSL on 443 is pointed to the exchange server

What am i missing?
