Hello all,
i dont know how to ask this question correctly, but i try.
Think about the following situation, which will be in some enviroments:
I have on DHCP Server in net 172.16.0.0 /16 (VLAN 10)
i have a switch with different vlans for all the company parts on it, for example
Buying (VLAN11) 172.17.10.x/24
Service (VLAN12) 172.17.20.x/24
Sales (VLAN13) 172.17.17.30.x/24
Ok, i generated the scopes.
How did the DHCPServer know, from which subnet the client is requesting? Means, how did the DHCP Server know, from which scope he serves an ip?
