Question : Setup Rooms in Microsoft Exchange

Hello, I have setup an exchange server for my organisation, the org has several offices that use rooms for client interviews, etc.  I am thinking about setting up a public folder structure, underneath the public folder will be the office locations, ie. centraloffice.  Under that folder I want to place the rooms, ie. interviewroom1, interviewroom2, so that staff can book a room out. Eventually I would also like to put cars under the office folder as well so that the cars can have a booking calendar.  So to get the picture it may look like:
* Public Folder
    * CentralOffice
         * InterviewRoom1
         * InterviewRoom2
         * CarRegxxxxxx
         * CarRegxxxxxx
     * RemoteOffice
        * InterviewRoom1
        * CarRegxxxxx

I only want the structures for rooms and cars/assets to be calendars, not email address or full mailboxes, is this possible and how?  Am I using the wrong tool, should I be using Sharepoint?  My only concern is that the staff that I assist are VERY unskilled in using computers, so to throw another software app in would possibly unsettle them, that's why I am thinking about keeping it in Outlook.
