Question : How to Migrate Exchange 2003 32 bit to Exchange 2007 64 Bit Server
Hi
We have a Dell 32 bit server and windows 2003 server and exchange 2003 running on it. We have two different domains running on our network and all our servers on our network are 32 Bit windows 2003.
Domain-A has 100 users where this group is configured to use exchange 2003/outlook 2007.
Domain B has 300 users and use different email system (Not Exchange).
Now Domain-B users says they are not happy with the existing email system and they say they want outlook web access.
Firstly i dont have enough space on my existing exchange server to create access to all Domain -B users.
Secondly if i have to create access to all Domain -B users for outlook , i need to buy higher capacity hard disk for this 32 bit server and increase the space and reconfigure exchange 2003 for Domain A and Domain B to use exchange.
Is it a good idea to buy a Dell 64 bit server and install exchange 2007 and migrate all the mailbox of Domain -A users and Domain- B users. Will this cause a compatability issue with other 32 bit servers on our network and will this setup work.
Please suggest how to go head and any ideas appreciated
Thanks
