Question : Can I retrieve all my Windows XP settings and programs after I re-installed Windows on a seperate folder?

Hi Experts,

  My Windows XP system crashed and I had no choice but to re-install windows but in a different folder so it won't overwrite my previous OS. XP came up and all the settings and profile are gone. Is there a way to recover the profile/ setting/applications from my first OS? They must be residing somwhere?
