Question : Can I upgrade Windows 2008 Server R2 from evaluation to Fully Purchased version?

Hi, I have downloaded R2 evaluation from Microsoft. It gives me 10 days to activate.
I understand that if I activate it will give me a 180 day trial version.
My question is that once I have the 180 day trial version, can I upgrade it to fully purchased version?
Or will I have to reintall with a fully purchased version?

Not sure which Hyper-V you're talking about, but Hyper-V Server is a free download.

Windows Server trial with re-arms and trial activation gives you a total of 240 days of trial time, so you could put off licensing for quite a while to make sure everything works before putting in the license.
