Question : Run Windows 2008 Server in virtual environment on Windows 7 PRO?

I am interested in running the Microsoft downloadable VHD for Windows 2008 Server to familiarize myself with the OS. I have a pretty powerful Windows 7 Workstation which I would like to run Server 2008 within a virtual environment. IS whis possible? If so, how? thanks for your insight -
