Question : Exchange 2003 MSADC errors 8064 8108

Server 2003; Exchange 2003.
Server is AD/DC, Global Catalog, and runs Exchange 2003. 4 other DCs in organisation.

Error 8064
Could not read entry 'CN=Exchange Settings,CN=SERVERNAME,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=DOMAINNAME,DC=local' on directory servername.domainname.local. Cannot access Connection Agreementinformation. Make sure that service was installed properly.

Error 8108
The initialization process failed.

First error (8064) on starting service; Second error (8108) re-occurs every 5 minutes.

I don't believe this is new, it doesn't appear to hamper the functionality, but I'd like to get rid of it. I beleive this server was subject to a botched attempt to upgrade from Exchange 5.5.

Thanks for any assistance.

Answer : Exchange 2003 MSADC errors 8064 8108

ok, if the CN=Active Directory Connections is empty then someone already cleaned it out

To uninstall the ADC service, use the Active Directory Installation Wizard on the Exchange Server 2003 CD.
Open the \ADC\I386 folder and double-click the Setup.exe program. Follow the prompts to Remove All ADC service components.
