Question : Register DLLs in an Offline WIM File
I have created a custom Win 7 Enterprise x64 image and now see that I need to register some DLL files for IE8 that evidently got corrupted. I would rather not recreate the image. Is it possible to register these dll's in an offline fashion? Possibly using DISM or IMAGEX? I've edited the registry from the WIM in this fashion, but not sure if it is possible to register a dll this way.
Thanks.
Answer : Register DLLs in an Offline WIM File
Unfortunately, no.
The regsrv32 process is a Windows process that must be running to register DLLs.
It's not a huge deal to deploy and capture again.
