Hello,
I just replaced my old mobo with an Asus P6X58D mobo to include:
- Intel Core i7 Processor i7-930 2.80GHz 8 MB LGA1366 CPU, Retail BX80601930
- Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D Dominator 6 GB 3 x 2 GB PC3-12800 1600MHz 240-Pin DDR3 Core i7 Memory Kit
I also have an ATI Radeon 5870 graphics card
I kept my existing WD2500AAKS Caviar 250MB HDs (2 run in serial mode)
My problems:
1) When the bios is booting up a get a message "No hard disks detected!", but WinXP still boots up
2) After Win XP boots - I will attempt to open a program and everything freezes - except for the mouse which can still move around though can't really do anything.
Thanks for the help as I was really excited about the upgrade (I bought Win7 to upgrade, but can't even run the program with the current situation).
