Question : dcpromo a child domain

Hi
i have a main domain company.com and a child domain ab.company.com
i want to completely remove ab.company.com and am running dcpromo on the DC in ab.company.com
when it asks
"this server is the last domain controller in the domain"
do i click it or not
im afraid of it removing my main domain
will it only remove the child domain

Answer : dcpromo a child domain

Yes, you need to clean out the DC you can't use, then demote the last DC.
