Question : do you need sysprep with Symantec Ghost Solution Suite 2.5?
I've been ghost using Symantec Ghost Solution Suite 2.5. Everything works perfectly. I've created several images and deployed several images. I've never used sysprep or anything like that to make security ID's unique on the systems? Is this bad? The computers I've ghosted all work great with no problems and I've never used sysprep. Is there a utility built into Ghost that does this for you?
Answer : do you need sysprep with Symantec Ghost Solution Suite 2.5?
yes and no. SID's still need to be regenerated as they need to be unique for every system.
I always recomend doing sysprep, but I know many admins that use newsid instead.
