Question : Xerox Scan to email issue - Gmail Google Apps Premiere

I've recently started using Google Apps for our company email.  However, our Xerox machines do not support TLS and SSL connections and will not deliver scanned images to the gmail servers.

I still have an in house Exchange server 2003 that I have not shut down, is there a way to build a connector or something to forward mail to the gmail servers?

Use the freebie version of Mdaemon to accept emails from the scanner.  Mdaemon then simply forwards them on.  Mdaemon is setup to handle the security aspects of this e.g., is the scanner on the local network? and is a very low maintenance program.
