Question : Backup Exec 12.5 Job Running Extremely slow

Backup Exec 12.5 on Windows Server 2008 R2

We have two sites connected via site-to-site VPN. The Backup Exec 12.5 console is installed in the home office server and agent deployed in the remote office. There is a NAS device in the remote office where the job backs up to. The problem is that the job runs so slow, at 6MB/min. Normal local jobs run at 800-1000MB/min. The job backups the data to the remote NAS so the data does't travel over the VPN link. I'm wondering what is causing this slowness

Any advise will help

Answer : Backup Exec 12.5 Job Running Extremely slow

Just to confirm:

Backup exec server is on the main site.
Remote agent and the NAS drive it is backing up to is on the remote site?

All the data is goig up the VPN to the backup exec server and then back down the VPN to the NAS drive.
This is going to be VERY slow...

You really need the NAS drive on the same network as the backup exec server.
