Question : vb script to ping hosts and check operating system

Hi,

I am looking for a vbscript/wmi to ping several hosts (from a txt file) and check the OS version and puts the results in an excel file.

Can someone help me.

Are you talking LAN based chat here, as opposed to internet chat?  Is that the difference?
