Question : Easy to use student management software

Hi guys,

I client of mine is setting up a school where they will be offering online and in-class courses. The usual stuff with tests, grades, assignments, homework, courses that have prerequisites etc..

They need some software to keep track of their students, their grades, notes, transcript etc. Something very easy to use as they aren't too tech saavy.

In addition (and this will be more my department to set up and get working), since they offer some online courses it would be nice if the program had some kind of API or online front-end for students to log into, view their grades, submit assignments, view course material etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I ended up using OpenSIS, which was free, open source, pretty versatile, and surprisingly not mentioned here o_o
