Question : Adobe InDesign CS4 Application Error

Good afternoon!

I have a user that I have recently installed Adobe CS4 for and for whatever reason InDesign keeps crashing on her while she is doing various thing in the program (nothing specific triggers the crash) I have also found that the same error message happened once in PhotoShop and Acrobat.

Before I post the error message, here is everything I have done to troubleshoot.

1. Rebuilt the comptuer to a new HD
2. Reinstalled CS4 onto the new HD with a new OS
3. Ran Mem Diags (comptuer passed)
4. Even swapped out memory with known working memory
5. Currently have every Adobe CS4 Update available
6. Increased Vitural Memory to 2 gigs
7. Changes Vitural Memory back to System Managed Size
8. Disabled Data Execution Prevention (DEP)
9. All Windows Updates!

Here is the Error Message

Answer : Adobe InDesign CS4 Application Error

Hi esi_steven_kearse, can't accurately point out why the lockups occur could be numerous problems, unfortunately it's a process elimination. From my sourcing it is a common problem and not a lot of solutions.
It seems that Adobe is not very good at releasing memory and consequently it builds up to a point where it crashes.
but errors referenced memory can't be read could indicate these
the project is very large..
bad ram.run a mem test
startup programs like msn/ spyware doctor or  the AV is conflicting,
windows updates running in the background..
if you log on by using a Terminal Services client.
Log in as the user that installed InDesign, then start the application.
the operating system does not allocate a large enough buffer for the maximum string length that is permitted. When the data is larger than the buffer size, the Winlogon service stops unexpectedly and your computer generates that error message.
check this
Event ID 26 Source Application Popup

The system does not have enough disc space or the TEMP folder is full
It could be a bad codec or a problematic video driver.
Update the video drivers
check these from Adobe
