Question : Does VPN users slow down local users?
Hello Experts,
I have a network that has Cisco VPN users connecting to our LAN. We have a T-1 line for Internet that these VPN users connect through. I was wondering since their connection is so slow, if their connections would be slowing down users in the office accessing resources, such as browsing the file servers or email servers?
I have a limited amount of VLANs left that I can configure, and would like to know would it be better to separate these VPN users from our LAN users?
Our office network is gigabit.
Answer : Does VPN users slow down local users?
If it is the VPN user who is having explored hang then this is because windows is trying to map out any network drives down to the lowest level subfolder.
