Question : Manual sbs03 -> sbs08 Migration

All,

I will be doing a live sbs03 -> sbs08 server migration in the next week. I have gone though several test runs using the migration tools and encounter several problems. The main problem I have is on the current production server windows 2003 sp2 is installed. In order for the migration tool to run small buisness server 2003 sp1 needs to be installed on the current production server. In order to acomplish this I will have to uninstalled windows 2003 sp2. My collegues and I have decided against this due to corruption it could cause. Does anyone have a manual migration guide or could you point me in the right direction on how to do this?

The current guide I used durring the wizard migration can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/64lja3

Thanks in advance
-John

Answer : Manual sbs03 -> sbs08 Migration

I'd look at performing a swing migration. The requirements are a little less stringent, but more importantly, it gives you a better option and opportunity to "roll back" if things do go wrong and you find that SBS SP1 really does become a requirement (don't know what might come up, never tried it without installing SBS SP1 first.)
