Question : hp dv9500 won't power up
I am working on an hp dv9500. When I try to turn the laptop on, the buttons light up, but after a second, there is a very quiet ping like a metal switch, and it turns back off. It uses an hp power adapter with the correct output ratings, but with an adapter that changes the size of the jack. When you plug it in, their is an LED ring around the port that lights up, and then the lightning bolt that indicates an AC connection lights up a couple seconds later. I would suspect a bad power adapter, but the blue ring stays lit. I have another power adapter with the same output, but the jack is the incorrect size. I have tried pulling the battery and running directly from AC. I can also pull the battery and disconnect AC entirely, and the laptop will perform the same way. I know it has to be a power issue, but I do not know how to determine if the adapter is faulty, or if it is something internal. I have a multimeter, but do not know what I would b testing. Any help would be appreciated.
Answer : hp dv9500 won't power up
If it is under warranty. The best thing will be to take it to the service center instead of trying to solve it by yourself.
Maybe its a small problem but your half knowledge can turn this into large.
