Question : snoop command with IP Clustered

Hello and this maybe an easy answer or something else is wrong with the Unix server I am telneting into. I am trying to use snoop to watch packet traffic, but for some reason in one envionrment I am watching a port that is coming from a non-clustered envionrnment so the port is connected to the actuall physical IP address. Now, when I jump over to our other server which is receving data from a Clustered with virutal IP address, I am getting nothing more than basic 4 byte length packets no data ever. The strange thing is the only difference is the port is connected to the clustered IP and not the actuall virtual Server IP that is sending data on this port. Would this be a problem for Snoop and is there anything I can do to still view this data packets? I hop this is clear and understandable.
