Question : SQL Server 2005 Login Error
Hi,
Getting following error msg when a particular user is trying to login.
A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 10054)".
Following error captured in Error log:
The login packet used to open the connection is structurally invalid; the connection has been closed. Please contact the vendor of the client library.
fyi,
The user is not able to login but can ping from client side. When i tried connecting from localhost I'm able to get in. All other users under that DB has no issues so far.
I've verified following,
1) TCP/IP was enabled.
2) Firewall is off.
3) SQL Login & DB user both exists.
Could some one let me know what could be the reason for this issue and how to solve this.
