Question : getting Windows XP to see Kodak i200 scanner with any software to input images

I have a Windows XP laptop connected via Firewire to an older Kodak i200 high-speed document scanner. I believe the computer sees the scanner, it is visible in Device Manager. I see it under Imaging Devices, it just says Firewire Scanner. If I double-click that, I see This device is working properly. I had trouble finding driver software, I finally found one in VueScan software which comes bundled with a driver. So Driver Provider is Hamrick Software, 1/9/1999, version 1.0.0.0.

However, trying to scan via VueScan or Acrobat Pro, the software says no scanner is attached. Ideally, I want to scan directly into Acrobat.

I'm stuck, and would appreciate any assistance. Let me know if I can provide any other details. Thank you!

Save the following file jquery.min.js on your drive at the same level (for example) of your page : http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js
and replace line 6 by : < script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.min.js" >< /script >
