Question : Copy and Paste from cygwin xwin server guest machine to my pc notepad

Hi ,

I am using Cygwin XWin as the xterm emulator to access unix and linux systems. Some times I need to copy somethings like the text in the dtterm  from the *nix that is displayed using Cygwin Xwin and paste it to my notepad or word document in my pc which is hosting the XWin CYGWIN_NT-5.1.

Kindly provide details on what to configure using this tool. Other tools like Xmanager , I can copy and paste easily from the unix server to my workstation and visa versa but with cygwin it is not the same case.

Check you script or method you are using to launch XWin.  There is a -clipboard or a -noclipboard option.

From the help:
-[no]clipboard
       Enables [disables] the integration between the  Cygwin/X  clip-
       board and Windows clipboard.  The default is enabled.
