Question : Infopath Form service comparison between SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010

Hi SharePoint experts,

Can anyone outline a detailed features comparison(in table) of Inforpath form service between SharePoint 2007 and 2010. It seems that there are limitations imposed in SharePoint 2007 (e.g. some controls of infopath form(e.g. Combo Box, Rich Tex(formating)) are not supported in browserable version of the form).

Thank you,
-Rick

Answer : Infopath Form service comparison between SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010

There are a number of good resources out there.  The following outlines changes in InfoPath forms and how they correlate to editing lists now (very cool) http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee704557.aspx.

there is also the new InfoPath Form WebPart - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee558803(office.14).aspx

Finally, this document on "enhanced integration" and its implications (what does/doesn't work, depending on using form services or not, is pretty good - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff645393.aspx

Finaly, here is a pretty old blog post of "what was coming" in InfoPath 2010 - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2009/07/15/what-s-new-in-infopath-2010.aspx

Finally, check out all the rich goodies in the InfoPath Team Blog - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/
