Question : Setting up FTP Users on IIS 7.5

I'm new to administering IIS 7.5 on Windows Server 2008 R2.  My administrator account has been able to FTP just fine, having full access.

I'm trying to implement user isolation and can't get it to work.  I have another thread on the technical problems, which haven't been solved: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Server_Software/Web_Servers/Microsoft_IIS/Q_26268119.html

In this thread, I'm asking more about IIS 7.5 and the process of setting up remote users.  I'm going to have about 50 clients who I want to restrict to their own folder.  Some tutorials instruct me to set up an IIS account from IIS Manager Permissions.  I do NOT see this anywhere in IIS 7.5.  Is it still being used?  Or do I need to use Active Directory (which I'm not at all familiar with)?

Or do I set up Windows Accounts for each of the 50 users?  I did that for my test users, but they are not recognized when I select User Isolation, only when I don't Isolate.

Also, I am supposed to use Pass-Through Authentication, right?  When I do, does the username of the client get "passed-through"?  Does the group get passed?  I'm trying to determine if I need to grant access permissions to the root folder for each specific Windows user.

Please advise.  I've been unable to set this up for a week.

Not sure if anyone is still following this, but I followed the Accepted Answer on this article and my FTP works great now.
