Question : Sharepoint Foundation 2010 Wizard cannot connect to database master

I am upgrading from WSS 3 to Sharepoint Foundation 2010.  Things were going good until the wizard fails with the following.  Cannot connect to database master at SQL server at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\Sharepoint. The database might not exist, or the current user does not have permission to connect to it.

I am using the version of sql that installed with WSS 3 and Sharepoint Foundation 2010.  Where do I go from here?

Please Close.  I enabled Namepipes and was able to proceed
