Question : Load a BLANK/EMPTY tree and list view in form

I have an image viewer form that has both a cxShellTreeView and cxShellListView. There is a function for a user to enter a number it pulls up the appropriate files/folders for the record they are searching for. However, the problem I have is by default, the form loads to the 'Desktop' for TreeView and the desktop contents for the ListView. Some users have WAY TOO MUCH files on their desktop causing load delays for the form, even before they search. Is there a way to load the tree and list views to show NOTHING?
