Question : Issue with Thecus 1u4500 not booting

On Thursday night the power at one of my clients offices cut off. When my client came back to the office and set the circuite breaker on the Thecus 1u4500 was stuck on  power up with the LCD screen saying Self Testing.  I figured that it might just need some time to rebuild the raid so i left it over night. When i came in this morning it was still stuck on Self Testing.

I have tried to restart the device and it boots right into the Self Testing screen.

I have powered off the device, unplugged the power cables and pushed the power button to completely power down the device and it still boots into Self Testing

I have tried pushing the reset button with the device powered on and nothing happens

I have tried pushing the reset button with the device powered off and nothing happens.

Am running out of ideas.  Anyone come across this before?

Answer : Issue with Thecus 1u4500 not booting

I got hold of Thecus support eventually and they have walked me through the steps to flash the hardware via USB. Unfortunately as soon as i turn the power on the device goes straight to Self Testing.

I think the Thecus has had it and needs to be replaced.
