Question : Dns issue logging onto domain

I have a vista business computer that is part of our domain. the IP is assigned thr dhcp with the DNS pointed to the server. every onther computer on the network logs in perfeclty fine however the one vista machine has issues then after 20 minutes it logs on it still cant ping the domain controller/dns server by name until I flush the dns. their is no secondary dns server. any ideas?

Answer : Dns issue logging onto domain

that is usually a good sign your DNS is setup wrong.

make sure your dns points to your active directory server and then use the netdiag tools from Microsoft on the server to make sure your DNS is configured correctly.

you can also check the new user to see if ROAMING profile is turned on,  this could cause it slow down.
