Question : Windows 7 64 bit Error Lockup Last Ideas

Installed Windows 7 64 bit Prof t onto an Acer desktop.  Machine started locking up (blank blue screen) such that the only way to get out was to pull plug.  I took the machine to Best Buy and they ran hardware diagnostics on machine.  They ran "stress test" for 24 hours.  No problems detected hardware wise.

My only last resort is to wipe out the 64 bit o/s and install the 32 bit  as the locking behavior indicates 64 bit is unstable.  It's a new install so 64 bit must be the problem.

Any last ideas how to avoid wiping out.  Machine runs great and fast with 64 bit except for the locking behavior  I was thinking possibly scheduled a weekly shutdown.  Maybe as windows frequently needs is just a restart..

I'm really surprised given this is the "professional" version.

Answer : Windows 7 64 bit Error Lockup Last Ideas

I'm using windows 7 ent;64bit on a HP notebook, whithout any single lockout or BSD (Blue Suddin Death) for more than 8 months, sometimes I leave it running for more than one week  in the office and access it remotly ( ok I'm too lazy to un plug and carry it every day :) )
I'm almost certain that it is related to hardware driver 64 bit compatability, specially network cards
