Question : Exchange Server mail delay.

I have a few questions regarding exchange 2003. This is what happened:

One of my collegues at office got an email I sent 2 months ago yesterday. Its was dated Feb 12th but it came in yesterday. I mail this person everyday and everything is fine, we receieve and send emails without any problems and the mail sometimes contains confidential data. What could have caused this? why a 2 month delay?

Could this be a server glitch or could it be the Administrator sniffing around peoples mailbxes.
How can a system Admin check users mailboxes other than exchange webmail or downloading the entire mailbox to outlook?

I am a .NET developer and donot have much knowledge about Exchange but I do have the same previliges as the network admin. I can log onto all the servers as admin.

Any Ideas?

Answer : Exchange Server mail delay.

You can use system manager to trace messages and to see who opened a mail box last.
Are you sure it wasn't a draft or in your outbox on a computer that you haven't used in 2 months and you hit send receive or simply connected the computer to the network with the exchange server?
