Question : DROID-ActiveSync Issue
Hi!
I'm trying to set up a new DRIOD ERIS phone to access an Exchange 2007 server, but I cannot get it to work. While I'm not sure the issue is on the Exchange Server's end, I did run the ActiveSync Test at
https://www.testexchangeco
nnectivity
.com/
and, though it passed, it had these warnings:
1:
Testing SSL Certificate for validity.
The SSL Certificate failed one or more certificate validation checks.
Test Steps
Validating certificate name
Certificate name validation failed
Tell me more about this issue and how to resolve it
Additional Details
Host name mydomain.com does not match any name found on the server certificate CN=remote.mydomain.com, OU=Domain Control Validated, O=remote.mydomain.com
2:
Validating certificate trust
The test passed with some warnings encountered. Please expand additional details.
Additional Details
Only able to build certificate chain when using the Root Certificate Update functionality from Windows Update. Your server may not be properly configured to send down the required intermediate certificates to complete the chain. Consult the certificate installation instructions or FAQ's from your Certificate Authority for more information.
3:
Validating certificate trust for Windows Mobile Devices
The test passed with some warnings encountered. Please expand additional details.
Additional Details
Certificate is only trusted on Windows Mobile 6.0 and later. Windows Mobile 5.0 and 5.0 + MSFP devices will not be able to sync. Root = OU=Go Daddy Class 2 Certification Authority, O="The Go Daddy Group, Inc.", C=US
I'm not sure if these warning could be the source of the problem, but I wanted to ask your help in correcting these errors related to the Certificate. For the Certificate, the server has a GoDaddy UCC.
Also of note, I have no problem getting the ActiveSync to work with iPhones and WiMo 6.0 phones.
Thanks much!
Answer : DROID-ActiveSync Issue
So, the problem turned out to be that the username cannot have a space when trying to connect to an Exchange server via Andriod. For the issues in the original post, I had to add "mydomain.com" to my UCC certificate.
