Question : After Deleting file size not show as free space

Hi

I have slice = 10 GB after deleting file has size of 6 GB I doesn't show in df command the actual free space
and when ever trying  to writing at same slice I get error messages in /var/adm/messages that the file system is full, this problems doesn't  go without reboot, I need another solution without rebooting the system

note: OS Solaris 10

OK,

lsof does not come with all systems.

So please try fuser instead -

fuser -u  /dev/[slicename]
