Question : Microsoft SqlServer Management SqlStudio Explorer Error

After installing SQL 2008 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 i am getting the following error when trying to open the management studio.  This error shows up when i try to logon to the default local instance.  Can anyone offer some assistance?

Running a repair on just the management tools and shared components fixed the issue.
