Question : GPG4WIN does not work with PGP 8

Our organisation used the PGP8 with XP but after users are now upgrading to Vista/Windows7, we are tying to find a free application.

We have landed on GPG4WIn/Kleopatra and it seems to be working fine, also with plugin in Outlook 2007

The problem is that when I attach files to users, using PGP8 they can not open it.

There must be a backword compatebility setting in GPG4WIN so the encryption part can work.
I have read a place that the encrypt and sign in GPG4Win will only work from PGP 8.0.1 and later but i guess it should be possible to encrypt from GPG4Win to PGP8

Sorry for comming back to you so late.
I have used the time to test over and over again with different configurations, no joy.

We are now giving up. after what I can read there is an issue here that no one on the net has solution for
So we are closing the issue now as non resolvable
