Question : Connecting Outlook 2010 to an exchange server  remotely

At the office i use oulook 2010 beta, and connect to my exchange 2003 server, when i am home i use OWA, but it's a bit tedious to work with. I would like to use my outlook 2010 at home and connect to my MS Exchange 2003 server

How can I do this....
Note I do not want to pop my mail.

Answer : Connecting Outlook 2010 to an exchange server  remotely

You have two choices:

  1. Configure VPN access and connect to the VPN then access your Exchange server or
  2. Setup RPC over HTTPs and then there is no need to setup the VPN.

RPC over HTTP:

  1. http://www.petri.co.il/how-can-i-configure-rpc-over-https-on-exchange-2003-single-server-scenario.htm or
  2. http://www.amset.info/exchange/rpc-http.asp

VPN:

  1. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc759171(WS.10).aspx
