Question : Windows 7 NAT

Greetings,

Anyone knows how could i enable NAT in Windows 7 using netsh?

I saw some sites told that copying the ipmontr.dll and ippromon.dll from XP or 2003 or 2008, and put it into Windows 7's windows/system32 would work. But i've tried it out and no luck.

I want to make it as an OpenVPN server and route all traffic (including website traffic) for clients. On Linux i could do it by using iptable command so that the server knows NATing the passing thru traffic towards gateway, but i cannot do the same thing on Windows 7.

Any helps? Thanks.

Answer : Windows 7 NAT

Got it works finally.... I should adjust my mind to investigate from an end user perspective...

Under Control Panel, go to Network and Sharing Centre -> Change Adapter Settings -> Choose your LAN connection interface and your OpenVPN TAP interface -> Right Click choose Bridge the connection -> A MAC bridge miniport is created automatically -> Copy the TCP/IP setting from original LAN connection interface settings to the TAP interface... and here you go.

And of course, you should have a proper server.ovpn file for your Windows.

Thanks all for the replies :)
